Stuart is Professor of solar energy research and opto-electronics
at Glyndwr University and has previously worked in a government laboratory (now Qinetiq) and in industry, pioneering MOCVD for II-VI semiconductors.
He has an international reputation for this research and sits on many national and international committees for both MOCVD and renewable energy.
Professor Irvine is a director of ORS Ltd, which manufactures optical monitoring tools for thin film deposition.
