Mark Winskel is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Energy Systems, University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on innovation in energy systems, especially the relationship between technology, economics and policy.
He has an interdisciplinary education across the physical, environmental and social sciences. Mark was recently appointed Research Co-ordinator for the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC).
He chaired UKERC’Äôs Energy 2050 Supply Working Group, and was lead author on the recent UKERC research report on Accelerated Development of Low Carbon Energy Supply Technologies. He has carried out consultancy work on innovation in energy systems for a number of public and private organisations.
